There are 12 rooms in the Main House and 13 rooms in a Carriage House that overlooks a romantic courtyard area. Reminiscent of a secret garden, the outdoor courtyard features a Koi pond and an original fountain from the Ivan Bailey Metal Studio in Atlanta. A small vintage desk serves as the check-in area in a cozy corner of the home, near the entrance. The lobby, referred to as the Parlor, features patterned, wood-framed sofas on a large antique rug, and a gold chandelier that hangs from the center of the 12-foot ceiling.

A charming, exposed-brick wall separates the bedroom and private bath. This room was used as a child's nursery in the 1850s and is one of the most welcoming and comforting rooms in the house. This was my first time staying at a bed-and-breakfast and I was not disappointed. The Eliza house is very accommodating, the staff is very helpful and and ... Social hour and dessert time was a great time to socialize with other guest and staff. Breakfast was great and we enjoyed the afternoon and evening snacks, wine and desserts.

My husband surprised me with a weekend getaway for our anniversary. In response to the coronavirus (COVID-19), additional safety and sanitation measures are in effect at this property. Please note that this property does not accommodate children.
The Lindsey Room is located on the third floor of the Main House. Warm colors and comfortable seating make this room one of our most popular in the house. In response to Coronavirus (COVID-19), additional safety and sanitation measures are in effect at this property. Couples particularly like the location — they rated it 9.8 for a two-person trip. Beautiful street - one of the most beautiful streets in the U.S. It doesn't take long to figure out why this is the best B & B in Savannah.
Twelve of the rooms are located in the Main House, and the other 13 are in a Carriage House overlooking the courtyard. While bathrooms are well-maintained, they are mostly small. Perks include nightly turndown service, plush bathrobes, and two free water bottles that are replenished daily. Air-conditioning, toiletries, hairdryers, safes, and flat-screen TVs with DVD players are also provided, but there are no fridges. Rooms in the carriage building have wrought-iron balconies with views of the courtyard garden, while rooms in the Main House overlook tree-lined Jones Street.
Private and quiet; this room is perfect for a romantic getaway. Located on the third floor of the Main House, The J. Stephens Room has two windows overlooking historic Jones Street and its moss-draped trees. A bay window on the opposite wall overlooks the garden courtyard. Returning guests often request this room for their next stay. The Eliza Thompson House is an adults-only historic B&B just minutes from Forsyth Park. It's a short walk to many of Savannah's best restaurants, including Mrs. Wilkes' restaurant just down the street.
A 5-star rating for great staff, central & quiet location in historic district and enjoyable wine & appetizer social hour. Everything was cooked at the B&B, and not something frozen and then zapped in a microwave. Also enjoyed the wine & appetizers social hour since it gave us the opportunity to meet other guests. Overall, a very nice place in a great location and a staff who made us want to return." Wonderful stay in a classic home on a historic street. There is an excellent choice of items for breakfast and evening hors d’oeuvres, wine, dessert, and port are included!
They were extremely helpful in suggesting various restaurants and their cocktail hour was lovely. Our stay at the Eliza Thompson house was the highlight of our stay in beautiful Savannah. We arrived a day earlier than expected due to a dismal weather forecast for the planned travel day, but when we called ahead, they were able to accommodate us in the same room. They won our hearts when we arrived tired and hungry after our eight-hour drive. When we got to our room, they had brought a tray of appetizers and a bottle of wine. For the rest of the stay, the staff were equally friendly and accommodating.
